Metroplex Service Welding Supply, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business that prides itself on a combined 160 years of industry experience.  In 1961 Jay Jones, began his career in this industry.  Mr. Jones was known for his concern for people, his frugality and a dedication to hard work.  He established the values of quality, integrity, trust and teamwork upon which the company was built.  Mr. Jones was active in the business up until his death in 2003.

Jay’s daughter, Janice Jones Bandy, joined her dad in the business in 1982 and took over leadership of the organization in 1995.  Together, with her brother Jay Jr., who after serving in the United States Navy for ten years, joined the company in 1998, have continued to expand the operations by opening locations in Burleson and Mineral Wells, in addition to their locations in Fort Worth, Decatur and Gainesville.  With opening of the new locations in Burleson and Mineral Wells came the opportunity to put key employees in percentage of ownership roles and with this James Mulroy, Mike Mathews and Danny Brown have become an integral part of the business expansion.

By design, Metroplex Service Welding Supply has tried to remain a small enough company that they can offer their customers the most personable of service and a commitment to quality while expanding their gas business, penetrating new specialty markets and looking for next generation materials to supply their customer’s needs.

Metroplex Service Welding Supply includes a cylinder filling operation at the Fort Worth headquarters as well as a full service welding equipment repair center and five locations to better serve their customers.  It is the goal of Metroplex Service Welding Supply to provide their customers with premium quality, high performance and cost effective products and services with the same concern for people that Jay Jones established the company on in 1975.
